The Nephalem represent Sanctuary's first mortals—beings combining celestial and demonic essence. Unlike pure humans, Nephalem possessed supernatural power. They ruled Sanctuary in ancient times, creating civilization and wonder.
Origins
Inarius and Lilith intentionally seeded Sanctuary with hybrid bloodlines. Angels and demons incarnated in mortal form to produce children—the first Nephalem. These beings combined power from both celestial and demonic heritage.
Nature & Powers
Nephalem possessed godlike capabilities: immortality, immense strength, magical prowess, and wisdom beyond mortal comprehension. They shaped geography, built impossible structures, and commanded natural forces through will alone.
The Fading
The Nephalem gradually faded from power as their divine essence diluted through subsequent generations. Whether this fading was natural, divinely ordained, or deliberately caused remains contested among scholars.
Legacy & Humanity
